Reading Group: We are offering four reading groups this semester!  Reading groups meet, with a leader, over dinner to discuss a book relevant to Philosophy, Politics & Economics. The books will be provided and the cost of dinner will be covered. Each group will meet eight times over the course of the semester for approximately an hour and a half each meeting; groups meet after classes have ended for the day, between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, depending on the discussion leader.

Chapel Phil Podcast: We have a student-led podcast that you can listen to now.

Working Groups:  We are offering a brand new type of group opportunity this fall: a working group!  The working group meets, with a leader, over dinner to discuss a project relevant to Philosophy, Politics & Economics. Most materials will be provided (you will need your own laptop) and the cost of dinner will be covered. The group will meet eight times over the course of the semester for approximately an hour and a half each meeting.

Please keep in mind that, if you do join a working group, attendance and participation at each meeting is expected. In addition, towards the end of the semester, we will ask you to provide an evaluation of your experience in the group. This is essential to our continuation of this program and we take your feedback seriously!

PPE @ Duke: Students pursuing either the minor at UNC or the certificate at Duke can take courses at the other school to meet the relevant requirements.  Information about Duke’s PPE certificate is available here: http://sites.duke.edu/dukeppe/

Internships/Fellowships: We offer a list of internships that relate to PPE or that our students have found success with in the past.  If you know of another internship/fellowship or apprentice program, please let us know!

Affiliated Graduate Students: Each year, we are offering a small number of graduate students from departments and programs across campus to become affiliated with the PPE Program. This means sharing resources, building community, and having access to exclusive PPE events and opportunities throughout the year.
