Samuel joined the Philosophy Department and the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Program on July 1, 2023. He received his PhD in philosophy from Harvard in 2023. He works primarily in moral philosophy, including on such topics as interpersonal justification, apology, solidarity, and the value of moral understanding.
