PPE Salon: The Invasion of Ukraine: What Could Have Been Done (and What Should Be Done Now)?
April 6, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Venue:
Gourmet Kingdom
Salon Leader:
Salon Description:
The Russian government’s invasion of Ukraine is one of the most significant—and potentially catastrophic—events of the twenty-first century. While many have called for increased sanctions and direct military intervention in the conflict, others have raised concerns that escalation would lead to world war between nuclear powers. What, if anything, could the United States government and its allies have done to prevent this invasion? And what, if anything, should the United States government and its allies do now?
Join PPE-affiliated graduate student Matthew Young on April 6 at 6:30pm to explore these and other questions. This salon will be held at Gourmet Kingdom, where dinner will be provided to participants.
This salon is now full. Thank you for your interest.
