Daniel Kapust is in the Political Science Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.  His Republicanism, Rhetoric, and Roman Political Thought, was published in 2011 by Cambridge University Press. Papers of his have appeared in  the Journal of Politics, Political Studies, History of Political Thought, Journal of the History of Ideas, and the European Journal of Political Theory.  He is working on a second book project dealing with flattery and political theory. "Where is Democracy Heading?" Professor Carole Pateman's publications include Participation and Democratic Theory (1970), The Problem of Political Obligation (2nd edition 1985) and The Sexual Contract (1988) which received the Benjamin Lippincott Award in 2005. The Award is given for a work of "exceptional quality by a living political theorist that is still considered significant after a time span of at least 15 years since the original publication." Her most recent book, with Charles Mills, is Contract and Domination (2007).
