Sarah Treul is a Professor in American politics. She received her M.A. and Ph.D from the University of Minnesota (2009). Her B.A. is from Wellesley College (2003). Her research interests include American political institutions, specifically the U.S. Congress and primary elections. Her current research agenda focuses on the rise of inexperienced candidates in congressional primary elections and how this rise affects congressional legislation, representation, and rhetoric.
