Adams Bailey is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Economics and Political Economy and a Master’s in Political Economy and Public Policy. He then spent four years at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation in Washington, D.C., writing on the economics behind trade and technology policy. He is a North Carolina native and a Royster Fellow.

At UNC, Adams writes about economic development policies and their effect on various industries and communities. His dissertation will examine the impact of economic development incentives on local economies, concentrating on the impact on equity and the efficacy of incentives as a development tool. Other work examines how entrepreneurship in high-tech sectors can transform innovative ecosystems.
