PPE in a Time of Pandemic: Healthy, Disability, and Triage

June 26, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

HEALTH, DISABILITY, AND TRIAGE

Friday, June 26th, 3PM-4:15PM ET

What can we learn about popular and medical conceptions of health and disability from the experience of the pandemic? What lessons can we draw about the provision and rationing of medical care? And how should we understand and apportion the burden of ethical decision-making in triage cases?

We invite you to join us for a live panel with Elizabeth Barnes (University of Virginia), August Gorman (Princeton University) and Christopher Lunsford (Duke University). In a conversation moderated by Simone Gubler (UNC Chapel Hill), the panelists will discuss their research on the topics of health, disability, and triage, as it bears on unfolding events.

This event is part of our PPE in a Time of Pandemic series, and is open to the public.
