PPE Alumni Reading Group Proposal Form: Fall 2022

The PPE Program is excited to announce that, due to the success of the PPE Alumni Reading Groups for the past few semesters, we plan to hold another next semester (number of groups to be determined)! You can read about our first groups HERE.

If you are interested in running a PPE Alumni Reading Group this upcoming term, please use this form to make a proposal. You are free to propose a “PPE Classic” (eg: Democracy in America, The Wealth of Nations, Discourse on Inequality) and/or a book on a PPE topic, which should ideally incorporate perspectives from the social sciences. The priority deadline for proposals is July 20, 2022.

The reading group should meet virtually for six-eight weeks over the course of the semester, ending early enough that they won’t conflict with the press of the end of the semester.  The PPE Program provides copies of the books to all participants and a modest honorarium for those who lead the group.

Please indicate in the “Comments” field the level of familiarity you have with your proposed text, why it is particularly suitable for a PPE Alumni Reading Group, and any other relevant information.
