PPE Alumni Reading Group Proposal Form: Spring 2021
The PPE Program is excited to announce that, due to the success of the PPE Alumni Reading Group in the fall, we plan to hold another in the spring (number of groups to be determined)! You can read about our first group HERE.
If you are interested in running a PPE Alumni Reading Group next term, please use this form to make a proposal. You are free to propose a “PPE Classic” (eg: Democracy in America, The Wealth of Nations, Discourse on Inequality) and/or a book on a PPE topic, which should ideally incorporate perspectives from the social sciences. The priority deadline for proposals is January 6th, 2021.
The reading group should meet virtually for seven-eight weeks over the course of the semester, ending early enough that they won’t conflict with the press of the end of the semester. The PPE Program provides copies of the books to all participants and a modest honorarium for those who lead the group.
Please indicate in the “Comments” field the level of familiarity you have with your proposed text, why it is particularly suitable for a PPE Alumni Reading Group, and any other relevant information.
Information about the Reading Groups we have held in the past is available HERE.
Thank you for your interest!
