Loren Lomasky is the Cory Professor of Political Philosophy, Policy & Law at the University of Virginia. Among his many publications are his co-authored — with Geoff Brennan — Democracy and Decision: The Pure Theory of Electoral Preference (Cambridge University Press, 1993) and co-edited — with Geoff Brennan — Politics and Process: New Essays in Democratic Theory, (Cambridge University Press, 1989). Lomasky has won several awards including the 1991 Matchette Prize for his book Persons, Rights, and the Moral Community.
