Title: TBD Lara Buchak's primary research interests are in decision, game, and rational choice theory. Her book Risk and Rationality (OUP, 2013) concerns how an individual ought to take risk into account when making decisions. It vindicates the ordinary decision-maker from the point of view of even ideal rationality. Held in collaboration with Better Angels, this workshop brings together 5-7 self-identified conservative-leaning students and 5-7 self-identified liberal-leaning students for a day of moderated activities and discussions that clarify disagreements, reduce stereotyped thinking, and begin building the relationships needed to find common ground.
